geeked跟fired up都是只很兴奋、很嗨的意思，而geeked通常更是跟吸毒后的兴奋相关，跟 I got high是差不多的意思。

on the fence意旨尚未决定、无法决定或保持中立的情形，sit on the fence是比较常看到的用法。

put…on the line字面上就是把某个东西推到边缘，表达冒险、陷入充满风险的状态。

Gas泛称品质好的大麻，而gas在指汽油时会用premium gas称之为高级汽油，这里用这个双关来说比较高档、高品质的大麻。

Atlas本来是指希腊神话中的阿特拉斯，顶著苍天的神。以前许多欧洲地图会有举著世界苍天的阿特拉斯的画像，后来便称世界地图集为Atlas。因此这边的atlas应该是指全世界的意思。

注8）Shimmy ya, shimmy ya, shimmy ya rock

Shimmy是拉丁舞或肚皮舞常见快速扭腰摆臀的舞步。这边歌词应是借用1995年Ol' Dirty Bastard的歌曲“Shimmy Shimmy Ya”。

注9）10-4在警察使用的代号中是指收到讯息、了解的意思。

汽机车都会装消音器以避免引擎制造的音量太大，不过会有人为了引起注目而拆掉消音器。Loud pipes就是发出噪音的排气管，指人在炫耀车子的性能。

注11）Is it unconditional when the 'Rari don't start?

‘Rari是指Ferrari法拉利。这段的'Rari don't start就是法拉利失去性能，Kendrick假设他失去了好车、失去荣华富贵，身边的人是否仍对他保持忠诚。

这首歌的背景音乐取样自Bruno Mars火红的歌曲24K Magic，经过转调、倒转播放、增加音效成了现在的样子，下面是转换过程的影片，很有趣。

毕竟Kendrick的专辑歌曲都是串联在一起的，这首最后也由蕾哈娜唱的It's so hard to be humble，推向下两首歌PRIDE.及HUMBLE.

当歌词在问他失去地位时歌迷是否仍会对他保持忠诚，我又想到Mortal Man所说的"When shit hit the fan, is you still a fan?"(顺便推销一下翻译)，也许同样站在顶峰的Kendrick跟Rihanna都得面对这样的问题吧。专辑后面的LOVE.中Kendrick也提到 "I'd rather you trust me than to love me." 我想比起大家都对著在顶点的他尖叫欢呼，他更在乎大家是否能在他陷入麻烦、低潮时继续对他保持信任与忠诚。
