Kendrick Lamar终于出新专辑了啊啊啊啊啊啊我太感动了!! 【To Pimp a Butterfly】是充满著民族意识、为黑人发声，而这张专辑【Damn.】比较著墨在Kendrick本人身上，他真的很擅长用专辑说故事。
首先释出的单曲是HUMBLE.，这首的MV真的是印象深刻，我重复播重复看好多次。这首歌好几处都像在指涉其他饶舌歌手，不过毕竟都是推测所以大家就各自想像吧。
这社会说大话的人很多，但大小声、包装外表谁都会，有实力的人更应该坐下、谦虚点，没有必要高调地四处夸耀。

第一段是MV唱的开头，第二段则是在串流音乐及CD的版本。
注2）Wicked or weakness 邪恶或是孱弱
很多饶舌歌词往往充斥这炫富、性爱、毒品这些被视为恶质的东西，也就是wicked，而有人认为歌词没有挑衅意味的歌手就是因为他们没胆、比较弱，也就是这边的weakness。Kendrick在这段MV穿著教宗的白袍，可能就是代表「善」，与wicked做区隔，让我们思考难道他选择善就是孱弱的吗？
注3）syrup sandwiches and crime allowances 糖浆三明治和脏钱
在吐司上淋上糖浆是个很简便的吃法，指的是穷困时吃的廉价食物。Crime allowances则是犯罪得到的钱，可能是抢来的偷来的，综合两者就是指他过去在街头贫困的生活。
注4）Parmesan 钱
Parmesan是帕玛森起司，有俚语会把起司泛指钱。
注5）Kool-Aid 即溶饮料
一系列各种口味的水果即溶饮料粉的品牌，美国人会用Kool-Aid泛指即溶饮料。用品牌名称来代称某个物品很常见，就像台湾医生都说感冒喝舒跑而不是说运动饮料，我最近发现band-aid是品牌名而不是OK绷的名字时吃了一惊。
注6）Piss out your per diem
Per diem是拉丁语的per day、each day，后来就指每日的津贴。Piss out其实是小便，你的每日津贴我一天就尿完了，也就是只够买我一天的饮料。
注7）My left stroke just went viral
Stroke可以指一击、一挥，有点像hit那样形容作品就像一击袭来那样轰动，这边的left是指上一个，所以left stroke就是上个作品（下一句的right stroke就是接下来的作品了，就是这张专辑）。Go viral就是指像病毒一样快速蔓延，形容人事物快速爆红。这可能是指上张专辑To Pimp a Butterfly或在HUMBLE.前一星期释出的歌曲The Heart Part 4。
注8）Soprano C, we like to keep it on a high note
Note可以是指音符，soprano C是指女高音可以唱最高的C。所以C-Note可指高音C音符，但也有俚语称C-Note为一百美元钞票，而“Keep it 100”又代表“Keep it real”，也呼应了后面的 “I’m the realest nigga after all.”
注9）副歌 “(Hol’ up, bitch) sit down” & “(Hol’ up lil' bitch, hol’ up lil' bitch) be humble”
Hol’ up和lil’ bitch都是Big Sean歌词常用的字，许多人猜测这是在指涉Big Sean以及其他饶舌歌手们别老爱高调炫耀，应该坐下来、谦卑一点。
注10）Sandman 沙人
这中文没有对应的词我就先照字翻了。在阿波罗剧院的「业余之夜」，也就是素人的才艺演出节目，如果表演者的表现不佳、嘘声四起时，Sandman就会上台把演出者赶下台。
注11）Show me somethin' natural like afro on Richard Pryor
Afro是指非裔人的卷卷头，那多半是天生自然卷的样子。Richard Pryor是一位已故的美国喜剧演员，也有做单口相声。这段歌词Kendrick指出他对大家老是修图美化自己感到厌烦，也不希望看到女孩们追求社会定义的美丽，应该更接纳自己天生的长相、肤色与头发。
注12）Polo socks 马球袜
Polo Ralph Lauren的服饰比较高价，在这指就算变得富有、穿著高档服装，他仍不会在意另一半的身家地位。
注13）I blew cool from AC, ayy, Obama just paged me, ayy
AC是air-conditioning的简称，但如果跟后面的“ayy”合起来当“ACA”的话就可能是Affordable Care Act患者保护与平价医疗法案，又称欧巴马健保，那就会跟下一句呼应。Page是指用Call机呼叫、联络某人。美国前总统欧巴马在任时曾邀请Kendrck到白宫会面与演出，欧巴马还说他2015年最喜欢的歌曲是“How Much a Dollar Cost”。

Grey Poupon是一种芥末的品牌，有趣的是在许多饶舌歌都会听见这个词，他的广告营造它是个奢华产品的形象，因此很多饶舌歌手拿它来代表有钱白人用的东西，Kendrick在车上把芥末递给在另一车的人就是重现Grey Poupon过去有名的广告。Grey Poupon、依云矿泉水、TED演讲其实都不是真正昂贵的东西，他们都包装、营造出高档高阶的产品形象，可能是在指称那些炫富的饶舌歌手们其实根本没有他们歌词唱的那么有钱。
这首歌一出我就觉得我一定要翻，但偏偏最近超忙，我就稍微延后，好不容易开始动工才想起我好久没翻Kendrick的歌都忘了这是一件多么辛苦的差事，各种俚语、双关让我一直查一直问到处爬文（Grey Poupon那段还看到影片解说，看完我才惊觉自己看了10分钟在讲芥末的影片），又过了好多天，今天才终于是完成了...
我还是觉得很遗憾台湾知道Kendrick Lamar的人这么罕见，我身边就是有朋友对美国饶舌有些抗拒，觉得一堆脏话跟乱七八糟的内容之类的，真是可惜他们就这样没听Kendrick的歌，每次听他的歌都可以感觉到这个人心中有理念，在这跟著钱起舞的风气中这样的歌手实在可贵。
