1、AWD名稱解釋

1. Explanation on the term AWD

全輪驅動英文為All-wheelDrive簡寫為AWD。四輪驅動英文為FourWheelDrive,簡寫為4WD

The English term for 「all wheel drive mode 」 is written as All Wheel Drive, abbreviated as AWD. The English term for 「four wheel drive mode 」 is written as Four Wheel Drive, abbreviated as 4WD.

AWD包括如下3種四驅系統,分時四驅(Part-time AWD)、全時四驅(Full-time AWD)和適時四驅(ON-demand AWD)

AWD system includes the following 3 four-wheel-drive modes: Part-time AWD , Full-time AWD and On-demand AWD.

1)分時四驅(Part-time AWD)。從字面上可以這樣理解:在所有路面均可以使用四輪驅動。在乾燥的公路上行駛時,汽車可以使用兩輪驅動,如車輪打滑,可以手動或自動接合4輪驅動,可在惡劣地形情況下使用分動箱(加力箱)的低速檔,提供更大的四輪驅動力。特點是結構簡單、成本低、越野性較強,四驅/兩驅需要手動切換,多用於對越野性要求較高的車型

1) Part-time AWD Literally, Part-time AWD can be understood in this way: The four wheel drive mode can be used on all roads. Running on the dry road, the vehicle can be driven by two wheels; if wheel slips, 4 wheel drive mode can be manually or automatically applied. In case of harsh terrain conditions, low speed gears in transfer case (force-increasing) can be engaged to provide stronger force by means of four wheel drive. The characteristics of Part-time AWD is that it is simple in structure, low in cost, and strong in off-road performance. It is needed to switch between four-wheel drive and two wheel drive manually. Part-time AWD is more used on the models which has high requirements for off-road performance.

2)全時四驅(Full-time AWD)。是最完善的驅動系統,無論路況如何,汽車始終使用四輪驅動方式,沒有兩驅方式。這些系統一般具有高低檔分動箱(加力箱),可應付最惡劣的路面。動力傳遞給全部四個車輪,在公路上或越野行駛時均可獲得最高的牽引力。它是使用最方便的系統,駕駛員介入最少。當然,這類系統一般不如適時四驅系統省油。並且此系統更為複雜,生產成本也更高,所以車價也就更昂貴,多用於豪華車或高端SUV。

2) Full-time AWD Full-time AWD is the most perfect driving system. No matter what road condition is, the vehicle always runs in four wheel drive mode, and no two drive mode is provided. These systems generally have high/ low gear transfer case (force-increasing) to cope with the worst road surface condition. The power is transmitted to all four wheels, so no matter whether the vehicle is running on the road or off road, the highest traction can be delivered. It is the most convenient system, needing the least driver』s intervention. Of course, this type of system is not so fuel saving as On-demand AWD. This system is more complex, and the production cost is higher, so the price of vehicle equipped with the system is more expensive. The system is more applied on luxury car or high-end SUV.

3)適時四驅(ON-demand AWD)。全輪驅動AWD系統通常用於小客車及"轎車式"輕型SUV。其動力設計只是用來在城市使用。動力可按固定或變化的比率傳遞給全部四個車輪,無需駕駛員介入。動力系統低檔扭力輸出不夠大,爬坡能力不強,無法在稍複雜的越野環境中使用。適時四驅在轎車、及多用途運動車中是十分時尚的選擇,將它稱之為全天候系統比全地形系統更為合適。

3) On-demand AWD All wheel drive system is usually used on small passenger cars and light SUV of "sedan type". In terms of power, it is only designed to run in city. The power can be transmitted to all four wheels at a fixed or changing ratio, and no driver intervention is required. The torque output at low gear of the power system is not large enough, so its climbing ability is not strong, and it can not be used in a slightly complex off-road environment. On-demand AWD is very favored choice in designing sedans, multi-purpose vehicles. It will be more suitable to call it 「all-weather system」

than to call it 「all terrain system」.

2、博越AWD說明

2. Explanation on AWD of Emgrand X7 Sports

博越四驅就是採用AWD(全輪驅動)中的適時四驅(ON-demand AWD),該產品的應用情況:克萊斯勒(酷威);長城(H6 H2);廣汽GS5;長安CS75等車型。

Emgrand X7 Sports adopts On-demand AWD mode of AWD system. On-demand AWD mode is now applied on the products such as Dodge JCUV, Great Wall』s H6 and H2, GAC』s GS5; Changan』s CS75, etc..

博越四驅適應於城市越野工況,其會根據發動機信號、檔位信號、油門開度、當前車速及前後輪速差等信號綜合分析,適時判斷根據需要輸出適當動力給後輪,所以稱為適時四驅(ON-demand AWD),同時還具備LOCK模式,當使用該模式時則動力快速傳遞給後輪,可以用於前輪打滑脫困或其他極限工況使用,不建議長期使用。

Emgrand X7 Sports』On-demand AWD mode is suitable for urban off-road operating conditions. The On-demand AWD mode can make a comprehensive analysis and timely judgment according to signals such as engine signal, gear position signal, throttle opening, current speed and front/rear wheel speed differential signal and then output appropriate power to rear wheels. This is the reason why it is so called On-demand AWD. Meanwhile, On-demand AWD has LOCK mode, that is, when LOCK mode is used the power is fast transferred to rear wheels. LOCK mode can be used when front wheels slip or in other extreme conditions so as to get out of the trap, but it is not recommended to use the LOCK mode for long-term.

優點:1)適時四驅(ON-demand AWD)核心部件為Nextrac電磁控制多片離合器,車輛行駛時用戶不需要進行任何操作,四驅系統不斷地實時讀取輪速、制動、轉向、動力總成輸出扭矩等信號。當檢測到前輪打滑時,多片離合器壓緊結合,將動力由前橋傳遞至後橋,以增強車輛的抓地性能;而在日常高速駕駛時,離合器片自動分離,此時車輛為前輪驅動,以提高燃油經濟性,兼顧公路與越野

性能,同時具備一定越野脫困能力。

Advantages: 1) The core component of On-demand AWD mode is Nextrac electromagnetic control multi-plate clutch. When the vehicle is traveling, users do not need any operation performed on it. The drive system continuously reads real-time signals such as the wheel speed signal, braking signal, steering signal, powertrain output torque signal, etc. When the drive system detects out front wheel slip, multi-plate clutch will pressure the clutch plates and engage to transfer the power from front axle to rear axle to enhance vehicle grip performance; and during daily high speed driving, the clutch will automatically disengage when the vehicle is driven by front wheels in order to improve the fuel economy, so both road and off-road performance are acquired and at the same time, a certain off-road capability is also provided.

2)扭矩響應快。NexTrac系統為電磁控制多片離合器系統,沒有液力遲滯現象,在前輪打滑時能在0.1秒內迅速把扭矩傳遞到後輪。

2) Fast torque output response. NexTrac system is electromagnetic control multi-plate clutch system, so there is no hydraulic hysteresis. When the front wheels slip, it can quickly transfer the torque to the rear wheels within 0 .1 seconds.

3)後輪動力強勁。NL-3四驅系統可以最大傳給後輪1900Nm的扭矩,假使前輪打滑,只憑後輪驅動也能爬上30%的坡度。

3) Strong rear wheel driving force. Emgrand X7 Sports』 On-demand AWD can transfer to the rear wheels the maximum torque up to 1, 900Nm. Even if the front wheels slip, the vehicle can also climb the slope with 30% gradient only by rear wheel driving.

4)拖曳扭矩不大於25N.m,提高燃油經濟性

缺點:適時四驅(ON-demand AWD)是主要用於城市四驅,其扭力不足以應付太惡劣的越野路況,越野性能不如其他類型AWD系統。

Disadvantages: On-demand AWD is mainly used as urban four-wheel

drive system. As the torque of On-demand AWD is not big enough to cope with too harsh off-road conditions, its off-road performance is not so good as other modes of AWD system.

3、博越車輪全部位於地面的工作狀態說明

3. Explanation on working state when all the four wheels of Emgrand X7 Sports touch the ground

博越採用適時四驅系統(ON-demand AWD),其根據四輪輪速信號、轉向角信號等,判斷給後軸輸出扭矩大小,再通過控制扭矩管理器內電磁離合器結合程度來輸出扭矩給後輪。有如下兩種工作模式:

Emgrand X7 Sports adopts On-demand AWD. It will determine the size of an output torque to the rear axle according to the four wheel speed signal, steering angle signal, and then transfer the torque to the rear wheels by controlling engagement degree of electromagnetic clutch inside the torque transfer device. There are two modes of operation for it:

AUTO 模式:掛入D檔後,即使前輪有打滑,如果此時油門開度為0,邏輯判斷不給扭矩到後橋,只有踏下油門才會有扭矩輸出到後橋,才能實現脫困。

AUTO mode: After you shift to gear D, even if the front wheels slip, if the throttle opening is 0, the system judges logically that no torque is transferred to the rear axle. Only after the acceleration pedal is pressed down, will the torque be transferred to the rear axle in order to get out the trap.

LOCK模式:四驅鎖定模式,四輪驅動,當用戶遇到冰雪等特殊路面,希望直接手動加強控制後輪的扭矩時,可以直接按下四驅系統的Lock按鈕,把車輛鎖定在四驅模式。後輪扭矩從100Nm(最小扭矩)到750Nm(最大限扭值)分配;直線行駛傳遞750Nm,在轉彎時減小扭矩傳遞。Lock模式下,車輛會產生轉向制動,為提高主動安全,以及避免用戶忘記解鎖,NL-3四驅系統能夠根據轉向角信號或車速信號(車速大於40km/h)自動解除Lock模式。此時可能為兩驅,但儀錶與模式開關同步,顯示的還是LOCK模式,實際上功能已變化。LOCK mode: This is the mode that all four wheels are to drive and the mode is locked. When users encounter ice and snow road and other special road conditions, hoping to manually control and strengthen rear wheel torque, they

can directly press down the LOCK button to set the vehicle in locked four-wheel-drive mode. The rear wheel torque will be distributed from 100Nm (minimum torque) to 750Nm (maximum torque limit); 750Nm of torque will be transferred when vehicle is running in straight line, and when vehicle is turning, the torque will be reduced. In LOCK mode, the vehicle will brake when making a turn. In order to improve the active safety and avoid the user forgetting unlocking, Emgrand X7 Sports』four-wheel-drive system will automatically remove LOCK mode according to steering angle signal or speed signal (the speed is higher than 40km/h). At this time, although the vehicle may be driven be two wheels, the display shows it is still in LOCK mode as the instrument panel display and the mode switch are synchronized; however, the function has been changed in fact.

4、博越位於舉升機上時工作狀態說明

4. Explanation on working state when Emgrand X7 Sports is lifted

當車輛位於舉升機上時,此時四輪全部懸空,若為AUTO模式,此時若掛入D檔、踩下油門則發動機動力將通過傳動軸傳遞到扭矩管理器前端,此時因為前後輪速差過大會導致ESP報警,隨之扭矩管理器將接收到ESP請求信號,從而斷開扭矩管理器,最終後輪沒有動力輸出,所以在此時觀察後輪不會旋轉。

When the vehicle is lifted, the four wheels are suspended in the air. If the vehicle is in AUTO mode, when you shift to gear D, depress the acceleration pedal, the engine power will be transmitted through propshaft to the front end of torque transfer device. At this time, if the speed difference between the front wheel and rear wheel is too big, ESP alarm will be triggered, and the torque transfer device will receive a ESP』s request signal and disconnect the torque transfer device. As a result, no power is output from rear wheels, so at this time you can see that rear wheels do not rotate.

當車輛位於舉升機上時,此時四輪全部懸空,若為LOCK模式,此時若掛入D檔、踩下油門則發動機動力直接傳遞給後輪,可以看到後輪立即旋轉。

When the vehicle is lifted, the four wheels are suspended in the air. If the vehicle is in LOCK mode, when you shift to gear D, depress the acceleration

pedal, the engine power will be transmitted directly to the rear wheels, and you can see that the rear wheels rotate the immediately.

博越四驅產品外部標識"AWD" 沒有問題,因為其屬於AWD系統中一種,即為適時四驅系統(ON-demand AWD)。這有別於沙特當地消費者認為的全時四驅(Full-time AWD)。

There is no any problem with the external identifier "AWD" on Emgrand X7 Sports four-wheel drive vehicles, because Emgrand X7 Sports』four-wheel drive mode is one of AWD system, i.e. On-demand AWD, which is different from Full-time AWD so called by local consumers in Saudi Arabia.
