先和大家说声圣诞快乐! 

这幅插画是作为不同风格的尝试作品。在画里，结合了我喜欢的题材：咖啡与动物来作为创作的灵感。
想表达的想法是：就算是不同的人种、拥有各自的想法，但当你愿意分享时，就能够拉近彼此的距离。

First of all, merry Christmas and have a wonderful holiday season!

Briefly, this illustration was made for experiment and testament that taking a different subject and using a different painting process.

Combing my favorite topics: coffee and animals, the main idea of it was even though we are different in various ways, by sharing things to each other, we’ll be closer and happier.

这边来谈一下创作的步骤：
Let me talk about the processes of creating this illustration:

  

step 1:
用线条勾勒出物件的轮廓。当你能用结实的物件时，上色起来会更轻松，省去以色彩思考与修正物件轮廓的时间。
同时，我将背景和前景分隔不同的层次，并且赋予浓淡的透明度差异，使之更有前后的差异感。
Using simple lines to depict the contour of the objects.

It will be easier for rendering colors for an object when had its reasonable contour, because you don't have to spend more time fixing them to be right.

In the meantime, I drew the foreground and background in different layers, and then changed their opacity in order to gain a stronger feeling of space. 

 



 

step 2:
将物件的色彩、材质与图样做好。这时先不太考虑光影的影响，而著重于色彩与画面的和谐。
对于颜色的调整也很方便。
I set all the colors, textures of the objects firstly. I focused on the harmony of the entire scene and the color palate, I didn't consider of light and shadow too much under this stage.

It was convenient if you want to adjust colors before adding light and shadow on them. 


 

step 3:
加入光影的效果。主要以图层效果和调整图层完成，我使用的绘图软体是Photoshop，不过大多的绘图软体都有类似的效果。
这样的画法能让每个物件的颜色保持鲜艳与单纯。

Putting light and shadow on them. It's mostly done by layer property and adjustment layers. Although the software I used is Photoshop, most of painting softwares have similar functions. 
This method allows the colors of object to keep vibrant and pure.   

 
step 4:
如同开头的插图那样，增加背景与一些微调。
为了让画面更有咖啡厅的感觉，增添了像是壁纸的效果。

As the top illustration in this post. I added some overall adjustments.
In order to make the scene to be more cafe-liked, I put some wallpaper on the background.
