11月 | All About Friends & Family and Holiday Cheer

Its coming to the end of Thanksgiving break, but luckily in a few more days we are done with the semester...minus exams. But who cares? enjoying the break while I can. Work hard, Relax harder. ha.

Thursday: My cousin came in town on Thanksgiving day and we headed over to Carolines for a corporate Thanksgiving dinner. I didn't get snaps of the food, but I managed a few group photos. I love this time of the year, family and friends gathering, all the festivities and holiday atmosphere. Can't get enough. This year, instead of black friday... it was black thursday? Stores were opened 6pm.. So of course, we had to walk off the calories, so we headed to the mall.

I'm so thankful for my family, friends, and the Lord. Thank you for always giving me strength, encouragement, and staying by my side.

This year, I've learned to pick my friends, to make good choices, to love more. Next year will be a whole new adventure, but for now, I wish that everyone stays healthy and happy, and have a heart for the lord.

Ringing in the holidays with a few new pieces ... and a few new scents Ive recently discovered.

I've been pretty obsessed with the cut, I have a few similar pieces... but nothing tweed and beige. so technically.. its not the same as the others ;)

I've been looking for a leather dome shaped bag for a while now and then I saw the peyton satchel.. ♡

the dark burgandy/purple is perfect for fall and winter, and happens to be my favorite color right now

New Find, Old Favorite

So first off, I love smelling perfumes and cologne. I remember Min and I would always sneak a few sprays of our friends CK One.. Just so we could keep smelling it on our wrists.. a few friends and I would also go to Sasa and Sephora and sample guy colognes in pretty bottles, then make faces to each other because it smelled.... unpleasant..

Besides the point.

I got a sample of Bottega Veneta's Pour Homme from a Nordstrom catalog and if you could smell confidence, charisma, and masculinity.. It would be this. Its spicy and woody, with a hint of sweetness from the bergamot. Even though its a cologne.. It could double as a room/home spray?

I was digging around my perfume sampler stash and found a favorite from this past summer. I have been searching for a new everyday perfume when I was in taiwan and a friend introduced Herme's collection, Hermes Un Jardin Sur Le Nil for women and men. It's seriously a strange combination. It has top notes of carrots, tomato, grapefruit, and green mango... put it in a salad.. yum... but a perfume? Then you get your florals- peony. hyacinth, and then a little bit of musk and cinnamon. I don't know how they come together, but its a very earthy green citrus scent. It's perfect for the days you don't want anything too strong or cloyingly sweet, but just that "fresh" smell.

Friday: Headed to La Farm Bakery for breakfast, one of our favorite spots. Serving decadent scones and white chocolate baguettes and a few savory sandwiches with a coffee to pair. Practically everything is on point at this french bakery. Our personal favorites are the cinnamon white chocolate scone and their egg benedicts.

Afterwards we took a tour of Centennial campus and Hunt library, as well as main campus. My cousin loved Hunt library, with all its new tech and gadgets. I guess we're a bit spoiled with our fancy 3d printers and game rooms.

When you're in raleigh, you can't miss out on Goodberry's Frozen Custard. We got the mini pumpkin with waffle pieces.

For lunch its bo time. A southern classic.

Saturday: half had a heartattack because my laptop wouldnt work. But luckily it was fixed and nothings lost. Thank you Lord Jesus.

Sunday: I guess I've been a bit worn out and slept in until 10:30 which never happens to me. Typically no matter how late I sleep, my sleeping in... is considered to be 9, max. ha.. lucky me. Enjoyed brunch with a little criminal minds and food network marathon and headed over to unleashed, for cappies self serve puppy bath. Still a bit worn out, but happy to finally snuggle in bed with a few library books and call it a night. I guess I'll leave the homework until tomorrow.
