最近这几年，台湾盛行起自行车的风潮，几乎每个人家里都会有一台脚踏车，甚至，有些人还愿意花上万元买一台较高档性能又比较好的自行车。因为，现在很多自行车队和车友都会在周末的时候，相约到山上或是海边骑车。一方面欣赏风景、舒压、接近大自然、另一方面也可以趁休假的时候把握机会运动一下。最近小编才从家里附近的河滨公园，一路骑 U-bike到北投。一路上不仅风景优美，空气新鲜，而且，从松山骑到北投才花费30元! 是不是很便宜?! 而且，U-bike的好处就是，骑到哪里，停到哪里，只要有站点的地方都可以还车。也不需要为了带著车子而限制自己的行动力，随时想要换捷运或是公车都可以。而且现在的河滨公园 (riverside park) 规划得还真是有那么一回事阿! 干净又方便~ 建议大家有空的时候骑车去疏通一下筋骨吧!

Lung-bursting adj. 字面上的意思是爆肺，当然不是真的爆掉啦~ 想像一下，大概可以猜出来，就是这个单车运动总长度需要 “肺活量超大” 的人才有办法达成。

Riders n. 也是指自行车手，不过，cyclist比较精确的指单车手，而rider有可以是摩托车手也有可能是任何用ride的车辆驾驶者。

For company 这边的 company是陪伴的意思; “I don’t like to eat alone and always enjoy companies, no matter friends or family.”

Great Divide (North America)

Rides don't come much bigger or more remote than this.The Great Divide Mountain Bike Route is off-road touring from Canada's Alberta all the way to New Mexico that takes in 61,000 meters of climb. That's more than 200,000 feet of glorious thigh burn.

1. Remote adj. 偏远的，如果当作n. 使用的话，意思则是遥控器。

2. Off-road adj. 这两个字中间加上一个hyphen，就变成了一个形容词，意思是这条单车道不是按照一般的道路行走的，他是 “偏离轨道” 或是 “偏离公路”，也就是我们所谓的羊肠小径。

3. Climb n. 这里的climb是指在骑单车的时候，会有所谓的上坡路段，这些上坡就是climb，往上爬的意思; “The hardest part of biking is to sustain your energy and breath during continuous climb.”。

4. Feet n. 这里的feet不是指我们的脚，而是一个高度/长度的单位，英呎。在国外，大部分的人不会用cm或是centimeter来形容身高，他们会说 “I am 6 feet tall” 或者是 “I am 5 feet 9.” 。

5. Glorious adj. 辉煌的; 这里是指当车手骑完200,000英呎的爬坡后，仿佛完成了一项很了不起的事情，所以用glorious来形容这件事。

6. Thigh burn 指的是200,000英呎的爬坡让大腿疯狂燃脂，所以这里的burn是在形容燃烧热量、脂肪、能量等。当你去健身房的时候，所有跑步机上一定会有一项功能是fat burn这就是燃烧脂肪的意思; “The cardiovascular exercise can help you burn calories and fat.” 。

The shimmering turquoise waters of Yamdrok Yumtso lake is one of the sights that greet riders as they climb to lung-bursting heights in the shadow of Everest. The road stretches between Lhasa and the Nepalese border.

Tackling the Friendship Highway from Lhasa to the Nepalese border by bicycle takes careful planning. Especially if you're planning to get married along the way. The stunning scenery is, apparently, a favorite for wedding photographers.

1. Wedding on wheels 字面上的意思是 “婚礼在方向盘上?”，发挥你的想像力，想一下，其实，他是在表示，有些人拍婚纱是会开著车到处去取景，而这边所指的是骑著自行车沿路拍照。
2. Tackle v. 解决; 在这里比较像是在说 “征服” 这条路线的意思; “Even though the assignment is really tough, I will tackle it and do my best to overcome it.” 。
