|韓國三人遊 SEOUL Travel 2014 | part 1
Day 1 in Seoul
This year our hotel was located in Sincheon, which is close to Gangnam and Jamsil. We stayed at seoul pharos hotel. its a short 5-10 minute walk from the subway station (sincheon exit 4) and there's also an airport bus that drops you off halfway between the subway station exit and the hotel. Once you get off the airport bus, head toward Starbucks and/or Softree direction and once you hit starbucks take a left into the alley. you'll see the hotel right away.

After unpacking, we headed out for dinner. We found a 24hr restaruant by our hotel.
Day 2
Kimbap for breakfast from 김선생 김밥
I absolute love this place. I had this for breakfast almost everyday during my stay.
Bukchon Hanok Village
We decided to visit Bukchon Hanok Village (북촌한옥마을). There were many cute stores on the way to the village. I love being surrounded by all the beautiful architecture from the Joseon dynasty. It feels peaceful. Its like an illusion that You're away from the city, the high buildings, traffic, the crowd, but really its just a small village within the city. Next time im back in korea, i'd love to revisit this place.

I was able to meet up with 2 of my study abroad friends. I can't believe its been a year since we've parted in Taiwan. Sometimes it doesnt matter how long you've known a person/friend, you'll know which ones are for life. Its my second time visiting them in Korea, I wish they lived closer to me! so I can see them more often. It feels like we never left taiwan, its so comfortable to be with them, and theres still so much to say and laugh about.
Cho and Min brought me to 설빙 and introduced me to 인절미빙수 ~~ Its so good!! its apparently bean powder and rice cake with condensed milk on shaved ice.

Day 3
Enjoying the city from a different era
Gyeongbokgung Palace 경복궁 景福宮
Directions : Gyeongbokgung Palace Station (Seoul Subway Line 3), Exit 5.
Along with a few dozen tourist buses, we arrived at Gyeongbokgung Palace. It's amazing how these old palaces were built. All the intricate designs along with the stone sculptures , its all mesmerizing. what would it be like to live in such a grand place?
We headed to Myeongdong and had lunch at Go Gung .

Osulloc Myeongdong
Last year I visited Osulloc with 호성오빠 and really enjoyed the atmosphere, the decorations and the tea. I also bought a slice of cake to the airport before I returned to Taiwan last year and could not forget how soft and moist the cake was, perfectly matched with their tea flavored cream. sweet but not too sweet and filled with a lovely floral scent. I dont remember which exact flavor I got last year but this year I went with the green tea roll cake. This time I wanted to share this gem with my mom and Jake.
