從2009年開始,單細胞測序技術就開始生根發芽,直到今天發展成為了一個廣泛應用的技術和領域。從2015年Cusanovich DA等人於《Science》發表文章「Multiplex single cell profiling of chromatin accessibility by combinatorial cellular indexing」後,單細胞ATAC測序這一枝也在逐漸發展。

SnapATAC(Fang et al., BioRxiv. 2019 Apr. 22. link) 的作者UCSD博士生Rongxin Fan製作了四年來的單細胞ATAC-seq的時間線(如下圖)。
