如何開始在溫哥華生活 HOW to START MY LIFE in VANCOUVER

現在越來越多人喜歡在大學畢業後，甚至在大學期間，給自己一年的時間去體驗生活，也就是所謂的GAP YEAR

在大學畢業後，從事半年的飯店業，開始覺得自己的英文能力不是很足夠，就開始了籌備前往英語系國家學習英文

老實說一開始並沒有做什麼功課，根本連加拿大是個什麼樣的國家都不知道，從來也沒出過這麼遠的門，也不知道哪裡來的靈感，就在決定要去學習英文的同時，加拿大這個選項就這樣莫名其妙地出現在我的腦袋中...

我一向是一個坐而言不如起而行的人，在我決定地當下，就開始尋找代辦了，覺得在家裡查再多的資料，不如直接去找代辦談，瞭解的比較多

在聊天的同時，發現加拿大有開設CO-OP的課程，因為本身家境沒有很好，出國一切的資出費用都是需要自己準備，我選擇了最少的6個月的課程，並可以拿到6個月的工簽，這對當時沒有想在加拿大待長久的打算的我，是最經濟實惠的，雖然一開始須要自己準備一筆錢讀書，但我的想法是這筆錢我可以用之後6個月的工簽把她賺回來，所以其實也沒虧，就這樣開始了籌畫

溫哥華老實說不是我的第一首選，一開始我是希望去多倫多，因為感覺華人比較少，但向我說的，我根本沒做功課，當代辦跟我說冬天多倫多會到零下30-40度，我真的沒辦法想像，並萌生了退堂鼓，退而求其次選擇了在加拿大天氣最宜人、最適合人居住的溫哥華，後來也證明來溫哥華真的沒有來錯，若你是一個愛好自然的人，溫哥華真的是一個最棒的地方

Nowadays, more and more people like to give themselves one year to experience their life which is so call gap year.

So as me. When I graduated from my university and had worked for half year, I felt how poor my English skill was. At the moment, I decided to go aboard to an English- using country which is Canada. 

To be honest, I didn't have any experience to go western country or leave my home 9500 km away in my life. I don't even know why I choose Canada not America or Australia which usually come to Taiwanese mind when they want to go to western country.

I am not the person who always just saying anything but never do it. So when I made a decision, I went to a agent to talk about what I want and what they can help me. They gave me a rough idea about how it works and which city is more suitable for me. They also told me Canada has a great program which is Co-Op. I can study for 6 months and I also can get 6 months working permit. For me this is such a great thing. I was not born in a wealthy family. I need to paid everything for myself if I want to go aboard. So when I knew this program I felt I could earn the tuition fee at the end of 6 months working which is awesome.

At first, Vancouver is not a best place for me. I wanted to go Toronto first, but the agent told me the weather there is horrible. Forced me changing my mind. But till now I didn't regret I choose Vancouver at all. For me, here is the best city I have ever been.
