2018 世足賽 — 梅西低迷，阿根廷完敗克羅埃西亞 藍白軍團能否觸底反彈？
俄羅斯時間6月21日，世足賽D組小組賽第二輪，Argentina 以0-3完敗給 Croatia。Croatia獲得了國家隊史第二次十六強門票；然而，前一戰僅以1-1 踢平 Iceland 的 Argentina則面臨了淘汰危機。
FIFA官網這麼評論了這場比賽：“Croatia advance on a dark night for Argentina”
在看完這場比賽後，忽然有種感覺：幾天前 Iceland 踢平 Argentina 或許不值得那麼大肆慶祝。
兩年前的歐洲國家盃（正式名稱：歐洲足球錦標賽UEFA European Championship） Iceland 也以1-1踢平熱門球隊 Portugal。只是，雖然這兩場都是逼和世界排名前五的球隊，但是「質量」卻大大不同。
Portugal 最終以 1-0 完封 France 取得隊史首座歐錦賽冠軍！而 Argentina 雖然是上屆世足賽亞軍，本屆卻很有可能在小組賽就打包回家⋯⋯
逼和冠軍值得高興，但是，逼和一支即將被淘汰的球隊？似乎沒什麼好得意的呀！當然，超神導演Hannes Þór Halldórsson（Iceland門將）守下 Lionel Messi 值得給一個大大的讚，但是，逼和此戰並不能證明 Iceland 的狀況很好。
不過，從另一個角度來看，即便 Argentina 狀況不佳，首度參加世足賽的 Iceland 能 取得進球+逼和 也足以大書特書了！
其實，這次世足賽之前，Argentina 就已經有許多隱憂。
第一則噩耗是，Argentina 一號門將Sergio Romero（羅梅洛）膝蓋受傷，無法徵戰世足賽。Romero 代表了 Argentina 參加了多達94場比賽，他在 10年與14年世足賽 是Argentina 的絕對主力。
剩下的三位門將：
- Wilfredo Caballero（卡巴耶羅）36歲年邁的他，在足球豪門Chelsea（切爾西）擔任板凳球員，他此前僅僅為 Argentina 踢了兩場比賽。
- 32歲的Nahuel Guzmán效力於墨西哥聯賽，他為國踢過5場比賽。
- 31歲的Franco Armani（阿爾瑪尼），是阿根廷陣中的高齡新人。這名 Club Atlético River Plate（河牀隊）門將，此前從未代表阿根廷踢過任何比賽。
三位門將，合計99歲，為國出征 7 場，Argentina 真是門戶大開呀！
第二則噩耗是，Argentina 的教練 Jorge Sampaoli（桑保利）執教能力令人擔憂。
打個比方好了：有看NBA的讀者，請把 Tyronn Lue 和 Billy Donovan 的所有缺點加在一起，大概就是 Sampaoli 了！
在敗給 Iceland 之後，主帥將Argentina 陣型從「4-2-3-1」改成「3-4-2-1」陣形。
其實，Jorge Sampaoli，是唯一一位受過 Messi 邀請到家中作客的 Argentina 主帥，Messi 在今年3月時邀請 Sampaoli 到家裡BBQ，並且和他交換了戰術意見。當時，Messi向 Sampaoli 建議，希望 Argentina 能踢「4-4-1-1」陣型，讓自己擔任唯一箭頭後方的輸送者角色，同時也可以伺機深入禁區突破得分，另外也建議 Sampoli 不要擺出3後衛陣型，因為會讓前場太擠、限制自己的發揮空間。
當時，Sampaoli 還接受了 Messi 的建言。
沒想到⋯⋯此役 Sampaoli 執意使用3後衛，成了 Croatia 限制 Messi 的「幫兇」，賽後受訪時他才坦承失算：「我是制訂比賽計畫的人，此役輸球責任全部在我身上，如果我用不同的陣型出戰，結果可能會變得更好。我和球迷們的心願一樣，因此這場失利讓我很受傷，我可能沒有使用正確的方式設置我的球隊。」
各位不覺得這很像雷霆隊嗎？
Billy Donovan 不會用 Carmelo Anthony ，把他也變成廢人了。
當然，Argentina 本身的狀態低迷則導致了大比分落敗的結果。
在三月多的比賽，少了 Messi 的 Argentina 以 1-6 慘敗 Spain ，但以 2-0 贏了世界排名第19 的 Italy。雖然 Argentina 有些隱憂，但是，少了 Messi 還能贏 Italy 算是很厲害了！
沒想到，首戰卻踢平了世界第22 的 Iceland。其實， Messi 的生涯12碼罰球的命中率只有 76.6％，對於明星球員來說這是一個難看的數字。錯失罰球的 Messi ，全場接觸球的機會更是少之又少，其他隊友也未能給予火力支援，遺憾被逼和。
沒想到，對決 Croatia 更慘，上半場 Messi 只碰到球二十次，2次絕佳得分機會都沒有把握。雪上加霜的是：Wilfredo Caballero 居發生超低級失誤把球送給對手 REBIĆ 直接失分！這直接擊潰了 Argentina 的信心，原本防守一團亂的 Argentina 急於進攻扳平分數，防守漏洞更多，反而又被 MODRIĆ、RAKITIĆ 相繼得分，0-3吞敗創了 Argentina 60年來世足小組賽最慘比分。
繼上屆世界盃，Messi 已經675分鐘沒進球！陷入最長「進球荒」。
上屆 Brazil 世界盃分組賽對 Nigeria 進球後，Messi 在對 Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Iceland, Croatia 的比賽中都沒有進球，這6場 Messi總共射門22次，但沒有1次命中。
本屆俄羅斯世界盃首戰對決 Iceland 時，Messi 就有機位打破「進球荒」，只是這個機會落在他最不拿手的12碼罰球，也再度罰丟，今天次輪對上 Croatia 被封鎖得更徹底，直到下半場纔有全場第一也是唯一的1次射門。
連續 685分鐘 沒有進球並不是「足球超級明星」Messi 該有的表現。
如今，他的祖國球迷已經瀕臨崩潰邊緣，背負沉重壓力的他，似乎難以正常發揮。
賽後，Argentina 教頭 Sampaoli 主動承擔變陣錯誤，只是，這一切已經來不及了。各界撻伐不會停歇，他的用人策略只會受到更多的質疑⋯⋯
"I don’t know about shame, but I definitely feel pain. It’s been a long time as a coach since I’ve been through this experience and it’s much more painful when I’m wearing the jersey of my country. [In the last match] we have to fight, give it our all, and we really have no other alternative. There’s pain because we weren’t at the level that the Argentinian people expect of us.
"I beg for the fans' forgiveness. Especially for those that make the great efforts to travel and see Argentina. I am responsible for this result. I believe I did the best job I could and I quite simply did not find a way to give them what they wanted."
"I had to devise a plan for this match. If I had set things up differently, things might have turned out much better. I don’t think it’s realistic to put the burden on Caballero [for his mistake].
"I think because of the reality of the Argentinian squad, it clouds Leo’s brilliance. Leo is limited because the team doesn’t gel ideally with him as it should. As coaches we need to realise these things and try to deal with them and I’m the one that needs to accept it."

踢進Croatia 第二球的 Modric 賽後這麼說：
"In the end our victory looks easy but it wasn’t that easy. I think the win was fully deserved, but it wasn’t easy. That first goal, in the second half, followed a mistake. 最後，我認為，一些 Messi 個人的問題也可能影響他的表現。
1.他真的太累了： Messi 在2017～18年度歐洲足球賽事中，共出戰54場，是2014～15年度以來最高。足球統計網站Transfermarkt的數字顯示，他在這54場賽事出戰總時間4,468分鐘，平均每場球賽出場高達 82.7 分鐘。
即便超勞如此，他仍然在過去一個賽季為 F C Barcelona（巴塞隆納）貢獻45顆進球和18次助攻。
2.他受到傷病困擾： Argentina 媒體《號角報》在2018年四月引述國家隊內部人士消息指出：Messi 的右腳大腿受傷，影響他衝刺和變速的能力。Argentina 在三月底跟 Italy和Spain 打友誼賽時，Messi 都作壁上觀，外界才知道他真的受傷患困擾。
3.他受到 C 羅 影響：本屆世界盃另一名明星球員Cristiano Ronaldo（基斯坦奴·朗拿度）至今已為Portugal踢進四球，佔據射手榜第一名。對陣 Spain 時更繳出帽子戲法的無解表現。這令 Messi 的壓力倍增。畢竟，C 羅 在本屆世界盃的表現令人嘆歎為觀止，反觀 Messi 至今唯一令人印象深刻的表現，居然是與 Iceland 比賽時獲得點球機會，卻沒能把握而取得分數。
4.近年 Argentina 的表現不怎麼好
Argentina 在2018俄羅斯世界盃南美區預選賽當中表現非常糟糕，他們在最後一場比賽之後才勉強贏得出線資格。
Messi 雖然以七顆進球成為 Argentina 的預選賽最佳射手，但球隊的總體表現受到球迷和球評的批評。
