太陽花運動係指2014年3月18日一場由學生及公民共同發起佔領立法院的「反黑箱服貿運動」。事件肇因於立法院草率通過「海峽兩岸服務貿易協議」的委員會審查，其後演變為一場歷時24天的社會運動。此運動聲勢浩大引起國際關注，影響層面不可小覷。無論是積極主動的參與者，或消極被動的被影響者，或者其它千百種態度的台灣公民，從運動起始至未來數十年，都可能已深受影響。時至今日，也許政府乃至立院諸公先放下成見，先傾聽各行各業人民的心聲再定行止，方為上策。

 

Sunflower Movement refers to an anti-black box operation for Cross-Strait Service Trade Agreement (CSSTA), which students and civilians had co-initiated to occupy the Legislative Yuan since March 18th, 2014. The incident was driven by the non-clause-by-clause committee review authorized by the Legislative Yuan to approve CSSTA. The movement later became a 24-day social movement, whose blockbuster momentum aroused global attention, having a great impact on various aspects. Whoever they are—the motivated and active participants, those who are inactive but persuaded, or other Taiwanese civilians with all kinds of attitudes—people in Taiwan definitely have been deeply influenced. The cause will go on for decades. Now, it is highly suggested that the government as well as the legislative members yield their preconception first, because it is the best policy to listen to people of all walks of life before making any policies.
