来自美国明尼苏达州的阴晴不定/忧悒的 R&B 歌手 Corbin，以前称为 Spooky Black，这是他的首张专辑《MOURN》。歌的声音影响来自于 Kate Bush 的1985年独创的〈Running Up That Hill〉，电子制作人 Drexciya 的后庞克、新浪潮、工业 (industrial) 和底特律 techno。此张专辑获得好评。

Corbin 先发布〈ICE BOY〉。今年早些，他公开一首名为〈Destrooy〉的歌曲。早在2015年，他与 Bobby Raps 合作，发行了一张名为《大懒虫 Couch Potato》的EP。

《MOURN》于9月5日发行。专辑的概念是「松散地叙述，松散的基础上，一个隐居的男主人公因为这个国家的现况况，说服他的爱人搬到树林里的地堡，然后，他死于一场空难，她随后搬回家里后去世」。

Shlohmo 和 D33J 两人担任制作人，在洛杉矶创造了曲目。Antwon 和 Blood Orange 吉他手 Ben Morsberger 也参与专辑。今年秋季 Shlohmo 和 D33J 与他共同参加了巡回演出。

戴上耳机，躲进自己的森林世界享受这张情绪化的专辑，超自然的情感与前卫节奏。《MOURN》我已经听十次以上了。

King Krule 是 blue wave 虽然新专辑越来越黑暗，简直是 dark wave 和 punk。Corbin 则是 dark wave 中的 dark wave。与 King Krule 一样有时嘶吼，歌词一样很有意境。

Corbin 从之前视频都围绕在他家乡明尼苏达州的森林，这次车子沿著明尼苏达州的高速公路，森林是一个逃脱和破碎的象征。成长过程如树木的内部与外部必须的动荡刺激。喜欢这支 MV 的色调和镜头，专辑中我也很喜欢这首。期待〈Ice Boy〉也许拍 MV。
我一直觉得国外的蟑螂比较美。
