哈～我承認是看了大娛樂家（The Greatest Showman）才來複習 Zac Efron 以前的電影

裡面的她已經開始練身體了，不過現在又更壯了！

電影雖是老梗，人們總是為了自己沒選擇的路在後悔

通常都是因為不滿意現在的生活纔在怪罪之前的決定

結局應該也不難猜，是個看鮮肉養眼的電影

電影的一開頭就講了一句蠻有意思的諺語 

 

 

 

 The world is your oyster (idiom) 世界任你遨遊

字面上是直翻「世界是你的牡蠣」，這句出自莎士比亞著作的諺語

因為當時的牡蠣很珍貴，世界是你的牡蠣等於世界任你行

而英國版的悠遊卡也叫做牡蠣卡（Oyster card）也是這樣來的

 

 

 

 on a second thought 再仔細思考之後...

例如： He had intended to go, but on second thought, he gave up the idea.

 

 

 

 

 out of line (phr.) 無理; （行為語言）失序

英英： beyond what is considered acceptable behavior

例句： The teacher warned them that she would punish anyone who stepped out of line.

 

 

 

 out of the picture (phr.) 不重要; 被排除在狀況外

英英： not important to or not involved in a situation

例句： He used to be an important member of the team, but he's gradually drifted out of the picture.

相反詞常見的有  keep/ put sb in the picture、keep sb informed/ updated/ noted 

 

 

 

 

 in shape (phr.) 身體健康; 狀況良好

英英： in a good condition

例句： You'll never be in shape until you eat less and take more exercise.

同義詞還有： beV in shape = stay in shape

注意不是隻身材，而是身體健康狀況良好 （只不過通常身體健康也常常是身材不容易走樣就是了）

相反詞 out of shape 指的是身體狀況不好

而 beV in good shape 還有準備好了 beV ready 的意思

如果要表達「保持身材」則用 keep one's figure 喔 

 

 

 

 

 dribble the ball (v.) 運球

例句： He dribbled the ball and then shot.

 

 

 

 

 pass the ball (v.) 傳球

例句： Pass me the ball!

 

 

 

 

 we are even (phr.) 我們扯平了

英英： to no longer have cause to seek revenge (against someone). 

例句： You broke the tail light on my car, so I slashed your tires—now we're even.

 

 

 

 be in this together (phr.) 一起面對

英英： to face the challenge together

 

 

 

 do sb a favor (phr.) 幫誰忙

英英： to help sb; to give sb a hand

例句： Do me a favor, please, and help me move this.

 

 

 

 a (real) catch (n.) 條件很好的對象

英英： someone who is a good person to have a relationship with or to marry because they are rich, attractive etc

例句： Since a doctor or a lawyer is a good catch, he can attract a woman whose family is wealthy.
