If I have a chance to go to a new place, I would have detailed plan instead of instant decision. There are two reasons I want to say. First, it helps me to save some money. Everybody knows that if you book airline tickets in advance, especially for the international airline tickets, you will have more discounts,like 30% off or half price. Second , as we know, it’s a complete new place which you're not familiar with. So it’s better for us to collect enough data and Information before arrive there. In this case, you will have more chance to enjoy your trip. You know how to plan each day and you will have less chance to mess things up.

閱讀：提出雄鹿(maledeer)鹿角(antlers)三個可能的作用

1. 用於散熱。antlers裏面有vessels，所以有血液循環，可以幫助散熱。

2. 用於保護自己不受天敵捕殺(protect themselves against predators)。

3. 用於communicate和show dominance，因爲鹿角hard and pointy。

聽力：反駁閱讀。

1. 不是用來散熱的。因爲有的鹿夏末也會長出角，甚至有的冬天也會長，可是冬天不需要散熱。而且有些熱的地方，鹿角小；而在有些冷的地方，鹿角反而大。

2. 一般都是母鹿(female deer)保護小鹿，可是母鹿是沒有角的。另外有證據表明他們的主要predator是狼，可是狼有被鹿kick的痕跡。

3. 兩個鹿一般都是走來走去(walk up and down inparallel lines)，直到另一方走開，而反而一般是角大的鹿會走開。並且他們是會用叫幾聲的方式來表示自己的身份而不是鹿角。

The lecture raises several arguments to counter the reading’s point that there are three possible functions of male deer’s antlers.

First, the lecture points out that antlers are not used for releasing heat, which contradicts the reading that there are vessels and blood circulation in antlers, which can help to increase the male deer’s cooling capacity. Based on the lecture, it is common that some male deer grow antlers at the end of summer or even in winter when they do not need to reduce the body’s heat. Also, in some hot places, male deer have small antlers; while insome cold areas, they have big ones.

Second, despite the point from the reading that antlers prevent deer from being prey, the lecture disagrees with it by telling that female deer have no antlers but they often shoulder the crucial responsibility of protecting their children. Moreover, deer’s main predators are wolves, and some evidence supports the idea that wolves have been kicked by deer.

Third, while the reading passage believes that male deer utilize the hard and pointy antlers for communication and dominance, the lecture contends that when with confrontation, usually, two deer walk up and down in parallel lines until one of them leaves,in many cases of which the one with bigger antlers will go away at first, and meanwhile, they often demonstrate themselves by voice but not by antlers.
