時隔一個月後，3月7日皮特於官網更新了Foobar2000 1.4的第七個公開測試版本（這次版本更迭的測試版本號可以說是非常的高了）,此次更新帶來了大量的新特性，相信正式版不遠了。

相比beta6主要的更新特性有：

• FTP閱讀器！
• 重寫的HTTP / HTTPS閱讀器; 增加了讀取遠程文件夾列表的功能。

• 提高了在HTTP環境下對於多種文件格式的處理能力，尤其是AIFF和Musepack格式（感謝"二次元百科全書"譯）
• 用於DSP預設和ReplayGain模式的新的默認UI工具欄項目
• 更強大的M3U / M3U8 / PLS播放列表處理:
• iTunes創建的M3U8播放列表現在可正確載入。.
• 嘗試保存由於國際字元而可能無法正確讀取的M3U / PLS文件時出現Big fat warning
• 新文件格式圖標.
