British flight lands in Edinburgh instead of Dusseldorf by mistake

英國航空開闢了一條新航線，從英國倫敦飛往德國杜塞爾多夫的乘客可以經停蘇格蘭的愛丁堡啦！

A new travel route was found by British Airlines (BA). Passengers who fly from London to Dusseldorf can make a stop in Edinburgh instead of a direct flight.

3月25日，一架原本要從倫敦飛往杜塞爾多夫的英國航空BA3271飛機，飛到了愛丁堡。

A BA flight destined for Dusseldorf landed in Edinburgh by mistake, after the flight paperwork was submitted incorrectly on March 25.

當機上廣播“歡迎來到愛丁堡”時，一位每週都會搭乘這趟航班從英國倫敦飛往德國杜塞爾多夫上班的乘客，一下子被嚇醒了，掐指算了算時間：咦？今天不是愚人節？

Hearing the "welcome to Edinburgh" announcement by the flight crew, a frequent passenger who flies from London to Dusseldorf told cabin staff that her destination was not Edinburgh.

Some passengers later said that they thought an April fool’s joke was too early to explain the hilarious experience.

機組人員猜測是不是這位乘客上錯飛機了呢？但是越來越多的乘客表示自己要飛到德國。機組問飛往德國的乘客有多少，客艙裏的所有乘客，都齊刷刷舉起了手。

According to one account, the pilot then took a show of hands from passengers to see who had expected to land in Germany, which turned out to be everyone.

網友評論：這趟航班是由第三方（德國國際空運航空公司）運營，英國航空顯然需要按照行業慣例，明確要求第三方公司在乘客登機後第一時間告知“歡迎您搭乘前往愛丁堡的航班”。但是機長直到降落的時候才第一次宣佈此次航班的目的地，且機組人員也沒有檢查登機牌，纔出現瞭如此混亂的局面。

“沒有人去愛丁堡嗎？真的沒有嗎？”

從起飛開始，英航 BA3271次航班偏離了預定目的地500英里（大約805公里）。英國航空公司將這次失誤的飛行歸咎於該航班的承運公司德國國際空運航空公司（WDL Aviation）。英國航空公司稱WDL通過租賃交易進行運營，把錯誤的飛行計劃交到了飛行員的手中，使得航班飛行員以爲該航班應該飛往愛丁堡而非杜塞爾多夫。

The flight flew 500 miles in the wrong direction after taking off. BA blamed the fault of flight BA3271 on its German operator WDL aviation for having filed an incorrect flight plan that made the pilot and crew believe that the flight was bound for Edinburgh.

WDL is in a "wet-lease" agreement where the aircraft and crew are hired under the BA CityFlyer brand. After the weird fault, WDL said it was "working closely with authorities to investigate how the obviously unfortunate mix-up of flight schedules could occur".

現在英航正在與德國國際空運航空公司合作調查失誤的根源在哪裏，以及混亂的飛行計劃是出自哪個環節，並表示會逐個對此次事件牽扯到的乘客道歉。

In a statement, a spokesperson for BA said the airline was working with WDL Aviation "to establish why the incorrect flight plan was filed."

"We have apologized to customers for this interruption to their journey and will be contacting them all individually," the spokesperson said.

在錯誤地降落在愛丁堡後，BA3271次航班重新起飛，飛往正確的目的地。

After landing in the wrong place, the plane departed a second time for Dusseldorf.

CNN採訪了倫敦帝國理工學院的學生Piotr Pomienski，他的女朋友Zsófia Szabó乘坐了此航班。“我在Flightradar上看到飛機向北飛行，而不是向南飛行，但我認爲這是某種系統錯誤。直到她發消息告訴我飛機降落在愛丁堡。”

CNN interviewed Piotr Pomienski, a student at Imperial College London, who said that his girlfriend Zsófia Szabó was on the plane that landed in Edinburgh by mistake. "I saw on Flightradar that the flight was flying north instead of south, but I assumed it was a system error of some sort. That is until she wrote me that they're in Edinburgh."

Szabó告訴CNN，當她看到飛機外面的山脈，而不是“德國通常的工業景觀”時，她意識到有些不對勁。

Szabó told CNN she realized something wasn't right when she saw mountains outside the plane, instead of the "usual German industrial landscape."

雖然比預計多花了三個半小時的時間，但是機上所有乘客最終到達了杜塞爾多夫。

Fortunately, all passengers arrived in Dusseldorf, though the plane touched down more than three-and-a-half hours behind schedule.
