我的研究所恩師,在105年也就是我畢業之一年後,離開大學系主任去廈門大學報到了。這一位中山大學財管系畢業,在美國德州大學主修企業管理碩士,回台後繼續攻讀中山大學企管所博士,擁有財務、會計及法律專業,曾獲得教育部教學卓越獎的人才。我在研究所讀書其間認識這一位老師時,還是副教授兼系主任,當我研究所畢業後,他也升格為教授。這麼認真、負責與專精教學工作的人才,最後灰心離校、離台,跨進廈門大學。
105年,恩師進入廈門大學後,廈大以副院長職務任命他擔任行政工作與授課講師,也許其間要渡過離鄉背井與往返兩地的煎熬,但是這位副院長的努力與拼勁、對學校及學生的付出獲得好評,所以幾年後繼續升格為院長。這是廈門大學之福,因為有了一位台灣籍的教授,擁有人情味、接地氣又有他的專業。他還沒有離開台灣前,曾為了招生遠赴東南亞擔任暑假短期學分班講師,全英文授課是他的專業與常態,在台灣校院服務期間也兼任國際學院系主任,領導著外籍教師在大學系所工作。當時,真是大學系所之福,哪知現在是廈門之福,格外諷刺。
105年起台灣政黨輪替,同年大學入學學生逐年下坡,教育政策一改再改,年金改革與校長任命風波等事件,讓大學教授們逐漸看不到未來,校園風氣改變,社會對於老師的氛圍也改變;教育是樹人、是百業的精神被逐漸破壞,也影響教授的出走風潮。大陸的大學生對於「尊師」還是重視,對於學習的熱忱、課堂中瘋狂求知的程度,激起教師的熱情。『教師的戰場在教室、在教學』,所以台灣教授們只能另闢戰場,遠赴他鄉。
今日一個小型聚會,我又看見教授們互相詢問大陸的院校情形,不是為備課與授課教材,而是為了自己生活而打算。如果說,教授們是為了教育理想而須餓肚子,為了教學理念而拋家棄子,但是我想告訴他們:已經夠了。你們是教育人才、你們是高端知識份子、教師的戰場在教室、在教學。未來的全球化教育中,教學將無國界,未來的老師與學生也許無相處之緣,但有『觀看率』與『訂閱率』之緣。也許未來台灣已留不住高端教育人才,但是誠懇希望教授們,無論在哪裡工作或服務,不要遞減教育熱忱。如同當年愛因斯坦過世後,大家很想保留的是他的大腦,追求知識的熱忱、研究創新與教育啟發,是教授們之所以奮鬥的人生初衷吧!
惋嘆!台灣教育界人才之死。在這日益複雜的社會環境讓人才離去,惋嘆之下,也祝福他們到新的工作環境中,能造福更多追求知識的學子。至於台灣教育未來怎麼走,是官員們的事了。
 
Sigh! The death of talents in the education sector in Taiwan
My research teacher is left the university department head to Xiamen University in 2016. He's graduated from the Department of Finance and Management of National Sun Yat-Sen University, and master's degree in Enterprise Management at the University of Texas, and returned to Taiwan to pursue a Ph.D. degree at National Sun Yat-Sen University. He has a degree in Finance, Accounting, and Law. He had received the Ministry of Education's Teaching Excellence Award. When I met him during the study, He was an associate professor and department head. When I graduated from the institute, he was promoted to a professor. The talents who are so conscientious, responsible and specialized in teaching work are finally discouraged from leaving school and leaving Taiwan and entering Xiamen University.
In 2016, He's entered Xiamen University appointed him as administrative work and lecturer as an Associate Dean of a Faculty. Perhaps he had to survive the disaster of leaving the country and the two places, but his hard work and pay attention to the student's contributions were well received, so they continued to be upgraded to the Dean a few years later. This is the blessing of Xiamen University because there is a Taiwanese professor who has humankind, a grounded atmosphere, and his professionalism. Before he left Taiwan, he had gone to Southeast Asia for a short-term tutor for summer vacation. He taught in English as his major subject. He also served as the head of the International College during the service of the Taiwan Academy. He led the foreign teachers in the university department. At that time, it was really a blessing in the university department. I know that it is now a blessing in Xiamen, which is particularly ironic.
In 2016 years, Taiwan’s political parties have been rotated. In the same year, college entrance students have been declining year by year, Education policies have been changed, and Salary reform and University presidential appointments have caused incidents. University professors have gradually can't sight of the future, campus ethos has changed, and society viewing has been changed. Spirit of the people and the industry have changed, and it also affects the enthusiasm of professors. College students in China still attach importance to the "Respecting teachers". The fervor for learning and the study of madness in the classroom have aroused the enthusiasm of teachers. "The teacher's battlefield is in the classroom and teaching", so Taiwanese professors can only set aside the battlefield and go to other places.
Today, at a small meeting, I saw that the professors asked each other about the education work in China, not for preparing lessons and teaching materials working, but for their own lives. If they are the purpose of educating ideals, they will leave home for the sake of teaching, but I want to tell them: It is enough. You are educating talents, you are fighting in the teaching. In the future globalization education, teaching will have no borders, and future teachers and students may have no relationship, but there is seeking the "Viewing rate" and "Subscription rate." Perhaps Taiwan will not be able to retain high-education talents in the future but sincerely hope that professors, no matter where they work or serve, do not decrease their education enthusiasm. Just as Einstein passed away, the scientist wants to keep his brain. Pursuing the enthusiasm for knowledge, research innovation and educational inspiration are the original intentions of the professors.
Sigh! The death of talents in the education sector in Taiwan. In this increasingly complex social environment, talents are left, and under the sigh, they are also blessed to a new working environment, which can benefit more students who pursue knowledge. As for the future of Taiwan’s education policy, it is a matter for officials.
