這就是直譯，可是，如果你想解釋為說英語的人，你可以如此說：
"When many people work together, they usually rely on others to do more of the work and share the same results."(意思是，當人們在一起工作的時候，他們通常互相依賴來完成工作，共享成果)據我所知，英語沒有類似的成語。也許"Too many cooks spoil the broth" 也可以...One boy is a boy, two boys drink, Everybodys business is nobodys business……
One boy is a boy,two boys half a boy,three boys no boy.
Many are responsible but no one is accountable.
看看 accountable 這個詞的意思就明白啦。

翻譯書上看到的one man is a man,two man are a half man,three man are no man.當時覺得很好玩，跟對象聊起來，他搶答說two man is gay...
俗語"Two is a company,three is a crowd."(兩人結伴，三人不歡)可謂十分吻合。
