雖然美國 Apple 公司已經停止生產 AirPort 無線基地台產品線，不過依然繼續提供已購買用戶韌體更新和維護。今天就為 802.11n AirPort Express 發布了 Firmware Update 7.8 韌體更新，帶來最新的 AirPlay 2 隔空播放支援。

AirPort Express 用戶可以透過 iOS 設備上的 AirPort Utility 應用下載和安裝最新的韌體，為 802.11n AirPort Express 基站增加了 AirPlay 2 支援。更新後可以在安裝了 iOS 11.4.1 或者 iOS 12 的 iOS 設備上看到 AirPort Express 已經出現在 AirPlay 2 的設備列表中。
