各位精羅肯定比我懂這首歌的背景（笑）
傳說，1453年5月29日（黑色星期二）城陷時，末代皇帝君士坦丁十一世並未殉國，而是被一個天使帶走，藏在了洞穴之中，華為一尊大理石像，當羅馬光復君士坦丁堡時，他將如閃電般歸來。聖索菲亞大教堂的教士們也隱入了牆壁，當東正教光復君士坦丁堡時，他們會出來繼續禮拜。希臘人以此作為根據譜寫了此曲，當然也融合了希臘人本身想要重建東羅馬帝國的「偉大願景」的成分。
