電影學院的實驗室為學生每天24小時開放7天。在拍攝畢業電影作品時，學生能從學院獲得五千至一萬美元不等的資金。每年春秋兩季，學院教職員工和學生共同推舉選出的優秀學生電影短片參加好萊塢和紐約的電影節。此外，學院還為學生提供各種實習、海外考察以及就業等機會。學生在此能學到電影工業和商業的運作，不少畢業生都進入了八大電影公司和主要的電影製作機構。
