Daniel Powter (丹尼爾·帕德) 為加拿大唱作歌手 ,

出生音樂世家 , 母親是一位鋼琴家 , 擁有絕對音感 ,

四歲學小提琴十三歲學鋼琴 ,

但是也並非一路順遂 ,

從小因為閱讀障礙的影響 , 引來旁人異樣的眼光 , 

也因此大學無法畢業而輟學 ,

輟學後的他開始在各樂隊演出累積經驗 

 

2002年創作了紅透半邊天的《 Bad Day》,

但是因為害羞內向而怯場 , 無法在舞台上展現實力

 

2005年才歷經萬難發行個人首張同名專輯《 Daniel Powter 》, 其中的《 Bad Day》

• 全美四大單曲榜冠軍 , 
• 可口可樂歐洲廣告的主題曲 ,
• 打平1999年Phil Collins《 You’ll Be In My Heart 》連續19週蟬聯全美成人抒情榜冠軍紀錄 ,( 迪士尼動畫獅子王的主題曲 )
• 打破華納最暢銷單曲《 You Light Up My Life 》保持29年的銷售紀錄(1977年) ,
• 全美史上最暢銷數位下載單曲

 

2007年台灣福特汽車公司與 Daniel Powter合作 , 

將《 Free Loop - 管不住的音符 》作為Ford i-MAX車款廣告的背景音樂 , 

砸下6000萬宣傳預算放送廣告 , ( 當時聽到這廣告 還捨不得轉台 )

也因此當時Ford i-MAX和《 Free Loop 》市場詢問度大增
